Nanaimo RCMP says they are asking for dashcam footage after a man was assaulted at the intersection of Esplanade Street and Victoria Crescent.
In a release, RCMP says shortly after midnight on April 20 officers were dispatched to assist BC Emergency Health Services paramedics and found a wounded male near a black Harley Davidson motorcycle lying on its side.
At first, officers thought the man had been in a collision but quickly learned he had been the victim of a serious assault.
The 34-year-old man was flown to Victoria General Hospital and is now in stable condition.
RCMP is asking anyone who may be a witness, or have dashcam footage of the area on April 19 between 11:30 p.m. and midnight to contact the Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345 and reference file number 2022-13136.
