Nanaimo RCMP are hoping the public can help them locate a missing 38-year-old man who hasn’t been seen in more than a month.

Tyler Nolan, 38, was last seen on May 18 at the Duke Point ferry terminal in Nanaimo and reported missing to the RCMP a few days later on May 31.

Though Nolan was reportedly at the ferry terminal, RCMP say they don’t think he ever boarded a ferry for the Lower Mainland and believe he is still in the Nanaimo region.

Nolan does not have a fixed address and RCMP say they have reached out to numerous emergency shelters and homeless encampments, but have not been able to locate the 38-year-old.

“All emergency shelters and homeless encampments scattered through Nanaimo have been checked with no success. Officers have also liaised with neighbouring detachments in the event that Nolan has moved on to those areas,” Nanaimo RCMP Const. Gary O’Brien, media spokesperson, said in a release.

Nolan is described as 5-foot-9, 150 pounds.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts should contact the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345 and quote file #2022-18342.
