Nanaimo RCMP search for missing 41-year-old woman

Police have provided recent pictures of Tara Brown, 41, who was last seen on Sept. 13.

Nanaimo RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating a 41-year-old woman who was last seen around 7 p.m. on Sept. 13.

Police said Tara Brown left her home in central Nanaimo without her daily medication, her cellphone or her purse, which had all of her identification. According to police, Brown’s disappearance is out of character as she does require her medication.

Brown does not have access to a vehicle. She has some personal contacts and family on Vancouver Island.

Police describe Brown as 5’5,” with a heavy build and shoulder-length brown hair. She has brown eyes and wears glasses. Police said it is unknown what clothes Brown is wearing but she often wears head coverings.

Anyone with information about Brown’s whereabouts is asked to call Const. Mike Scott of the Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345.
