Nanaimo RCMP are looking for the owner of a lost ring.

Nanaimo RCMP are asking for the public’s help in finding the owner of a men’s ring that was recently turned into the local detachment.

The person who turned in the ring told police that the ring was located on Oct. 8 near Long Lake on Wellesley Street.

The ring is square on top with an embossed pattern in the square, police said.

“We do not feel it is necessary to release a photo of the ring. The image on the front is quite distinct and the true owner of the ring should be able to describe what the image is,” Const. Gary O’Brien, media relations officer with the Nanaimo RCMP said in a statement.

Anyone who has information on who owns the ring is asked to call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345 and quote file # 2020-37738.
