The Nanaimo RCMP is asking for the public’s help in finding 26-year-old Romey O’Neill, who police say is wanted Canada-wide on an immigration warrant for overstaying his status in Canada.

Investigators have confirmed that O’Neill was in Nanaimo on Nov. 13 of this year when he rented a vehicle from a local car rental agency.

He rented a blue 2020 Kia Forte, a sedan with B.C. licence plate of JW690D. It was never returned and has been reported as stolen, says police.

When O’Neill came to rent the vehicle, the RCMP says he was seen being dropped off by a woman driving a white Mitsubishi Lancer. The licence plate of this vehicle is unknown.

The Nanaimo RCMP says O’Neill is associated with residences in Bowser, Quadra Island and Cortes Island.

He is  6’2″, 160 pounds, and has brown hair and green eyes. The picture featured above is recent.

If anyone has information on the whereabouts of Romey O’Neill, you are asked to call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345 and quote file # 2020-43134.
