The Nanaimo RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 37-year-old Bryan Highet, a “prolific offender” wanted for Break and Enter.

Police said that the warrant has been issued after repeated attempts by investigators have failed to locate Highet.

The warrant was issued after repeated attempts by investigators to locate Highet failed.

According to a police report, Highet was allegedly witnessed driving a vehicle onto a construction site along Gulfview Drive back on August 17.

The witness told investigators that the property, which was under construction, had a Seas Can storage container on-site, containing construction tools and equipment.

Police say that Highet allegedly removed several items from the storage container, including a Honda generator and a chainsaw.

According to a police report, the witness was able to positively identify Highet and in late September 2020 one charge of Break and Enter was sworn.

A warrant has since been issued for Highet’s arrest.

Police describe Highet as a 37-year-old Caucasian male, who stands 6 ft tall. He weighs around 170 pounds with brown hair and green eyes.

Nanaimo RCMP are asking the public for anyone with information on Highet’s whereabouts to call the non-emergency line at 250-754-2345.
