Nanaimo RCMP said video surveillance footage show a female grabbing the case and walking away with it through the motel parking lot.

Police are investigating after someone apparently stole a medical kit from paramedics while they were responding to a call at a motel in Nanaimo.

According to the Nanaimo RCMP, on Sept. 14, paramedics with the BC Emergency Health Services were responding to a medical call at the Nanaimo Value Lodge motel on 736 Nicol St., at around 3 a.m. when their medical kit was stolen.

The stolen hard-shell black plastic paramedic medical kit contained an array of supplies including life-saving drugs like Narcan, epinephrine, and blood pressure equipment.

Nanaimo RCMP said video surveillance footage shows what they believe is a woman, dressed in dark clothing and wearing a mask, grabbing the case and walking away with it through the motel parking lot.
