Nanaimo RCMP are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who allegedly stole a mountain bike from a vehicle parked at a motel.

Police said the bicycle was taken from a vehicle at the Travelodge motel at 96 Terminal Avenue sometime overnight on June 19. Police believe a man allegedly smashed the rear window of a Toyota Sienna then lifted the bike out of the vehicle. The mountain bike that was stolen is an orange 2016 Santa Cruz.

A photo of the alleged suspect and the bike have been released by police.

Anyone with information on the suspect or knows the location of the stolen bike is asked to call Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
