Nanaimo resident Cory Anderson recently won $100,000 from a Tripling Red 7s scratch ticket that he purchased at a Mac’s Convenience Store on Departure Bay Road, according to a press release from the British Columbia Lottery Corporation.

It’s been a difficult year for many.

But for one Vancouver Island man, 2020 just got a whole lot better.

Nanaimo resident Cory Anderson recently won $100,000 from a Tripling Red 7s scratch ticket that he purchased at a Mac’s Convenience Store on Departure Bay Road, according to a press release from the British Columbia Lottery Corporation.

Anderson confirmed his win scanning his ticket using the BCLC Lotto! app while at a local park and claimed his prize from home using BCLC’s alternate prize-claim process.

The Nanaimo-resident described the win as “amazing” and says he celebrated his lucky payday with his girlfriend over a steak dinner.

Anderson, the release stated, says he plans on investing his winnings, with the hopes of buying a new home in the future, but before getting “all the fluids changed” on his truck.
