A strong front that moved in over the south coast late Saturday night has resulted in poor road conditions on Vancouver Island.

Drive BC has issued multiple advisories for major roadways north of Nanaimo.

Highway 4, from Parksville to Ucluelet and Tofino, has water pooling and strong crosswind advisories in place.

Further north on Highway 19, just past Courtenay, is where more extensive warnings are in place. Heavy rain has been added to various water pooling advisories all the way up to Port Hardy.
Flooding has been reported by Drive BC on Highway 19, 50 kilometres north of Campbell River.
