Motorist allegedly drives over pedestrian's foot following gas station argument in View Royal

West Shore RCMP is seeking dashcam footage or witnesses to an altercation at a gas station that resulted in a motorist allegedly driving over a pedestrian’s foot.

Officers say the incident took place on November 19 at approximately 1:05 p.m. at the Shell gas station located on Island Highway and Six Mile Rd. in View Royal.

Officers attended the station after receiving a report about a dispute between a pedestrian and a motorist.

Police were told that a motorist had driven over the pedestrian’s foot following an argument where the pedestrian had kicked the motorist’s car.

According to police, the gas station was very busy at the time and there was a line of vehicles leading from the pumps across the parking lot, across the sidewalk, and down the outside lane of the Island Hwy.

Officers reviewed video surveillance of the gas station, however, the incident was not captured on video.

West Shore RCMP is asking anyone who may have witnessed the altercation at this gas station, or anyone who may have dashcam footage, to contact West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264.
