The Coastal Inspiration is one of two ferries, along with the Coastal Renaissance, serving the Duke Point to Tsawwassen route.

Travellers looking to sail from Tsawwassen to Nanaimo may have a longer day ahead of them than initially planned, as BC Ferries advises sailings leaving the mainland on that route are full for most of the day.

BC Ferries tweeted sailings between Tsawwassen and Nanaimo are full between until the 8:15 p.m. sailing.

A BC Ferries spokesperson says there is still plenty of room for foot passengers on these sailings, however, the BC Ferries website says there is zero per cent capacity remaining for long-term parking at the Tsawwassen terminal.

According to the BC Ferries website, just after 8 a.m., the company was already selling tickets for the 8:15 p.m. sailing which was 16 per cent full.

The only other remaining sailing for Monday, the 10:15 p.m. departure, was 30 per cent full at the same time.

For ferries leaving Nanaimo, the company is not facing similar capacity issues.

The 10:15 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. departure from Nanaimo are full, but the 12:45 p.m., 3:15 p.m., 8:15 p.m., and 10:45 p.m. still have capacity.
