The Queen of Alberni cancelled two sailings on Saturday due to mechanical issues.

BC Ferries cancelled two sailings on the Duke Point-Tsawwassen ferry route on Saturday, citing mechanical issues with the ship’s main engine fuel pump.

The Queen of Alberni cancelled its sailings at 10:15 a.m. departing Tsawwassen and at 12:45 p.m. departing Duke Point in Nanaimo.

Other routes saw steady traffic on Saturday morning with some terminals at a one or two sailing delay, while the Queen of Coquitlam on the Horseshoe Bay-Departure Bay route was operating 54 minutes behind schedule due to staffing issues.

Additional information on current conditions is offered on the BC Ferries website.
