Mount Cain will open on Sunday but advised visitors to bring chains for slippery road conditions.
Vancouver Island’s only remaining fully Canadian-owned and operated ski resort will open on Sunday.
Mount Cain Alpine Park near Port McNeill says that it will open Sunday with “early season marginal” conditions.
The resort added that they plan to stay open over the holiday break as long as they have snow. They have not yet announced if they will be operating bus service to the resort and advised visitors to bring chains for slippery road conditions.
