As the snow continues to blanket the Southern tip of Vancouver Island, many major bus routes have been cancelled.

BC Transit says that due to severe road conditions, many –but not all– routes have been cancelled in the CRD. On Twitter, the bus company says routes 4, 6, 14, 15, 50, 61, 70 and 72  are being serviced today, but only with limited runs and detours may be in place.

In the Cowichan Valley, no buses will be running today as BC Transit announces the cancellation of all routes.

Environment Canada says snow could be falling throughout the weekend, and BC Transit says the best way to stay in the loop is to check their online advisories.

Before you leave your house to take public transit, please check here, to make sure your bus route is still operating as conditions are subject to change.
