Service on a B.C. Ferries’ vessel travelling between Departure Bay and Horseshoe Bay is delayed after a man went overboard Tuesday morning.
Deborah Marshall from B.C. Ferries says the person went overboard the Queen of Cowichan around 9 a.m. near Bowen Island, shortly after the scheduled 8:45 a.m. departure from Horseshoe Bay.

Marshall says the crew helped rescue the man, who was transported to responding members of the coast guard around 10 a.m.
There is no word on the condition of the man.
Service has continued, although the incident has left the Queen of Cowichan running about an hour behind schedule.
