In the rugged and remote region of Nootka Sound police found a man suffering from severe stab wounds on Wednesday.
RCMP officers were called around 4 p.m. of an aggravated assault of a male in his home. When officers arrived, they found a man in serious medical distress from stab wounds.
While the victim was airlifted to hospital, police were able to locate the alleged perpetrator and arrest him without incident.
The alleged assailant remains in custody and the stabbing is under investigation. Nootka Sound RCMP believes there is no threat to the public.
