Man suffers serious injuries in assault near Central Saanich bus stop, police say

Central Saanich Police is asking to speak with any witnesses in connection to an assault that left a man with serious injuries.

Authorities say a person found a man unconscious on Keating Cross Road near Butler Crescent around 8:35 p.m. Saturday night near a bus stop, with a significant amount of blood observed at the scene.

Police say the person who found the man stayed with him and were told he was in and out of consciousness.

Emergency personnel were called and the injured man was taken to Victoria General Hospital.

Central Saanich Police does not believe it is a random attack and as it happened during daylight hours, it is suspected someone was likely near the scene and saw something.
