UPDATE: Malahat reoponed in both directions after being closed due to heavy snow, multiple vehicle incidents

UPDATE: 1:05 a.m. – Drive BC says the Malahat is now open in both directions. Slushy and slippery sections. Snowfall continues. Commercial trucks must chain up.

UPDATE: 12:55 a.m. – Southbound Malahat is now open with compact snow, slushy and slippery sections. Commercial Trucks must chain up. Northbound remains closed.

Drive BC earlier reported that the Malahat was due to multiple vehicle incidents, limited visibility and heavy snowfall.
