The Labour Day Long Weekend brought out busy traffic at BC ferries, with full ferries and standby sailings along the popular Tsawwassen-Swartz Bay route well into Saturday afternoon.
As of 3 p.m. on Saturday every hourly sailing departing Tsawwassen until 4 p.m. was listed as being 100% full, with a two-sailing wait for cars and oversized vehicles.
BC Ferries also posted an advisory that paid parking facilities at the Tsawwassen Terminal were at capacity as of 9:55 a.m. on Saturday morning.
In June, BC Ferries added extra sailings, including a midnight departure from Tsawwassen on August 30.
