It’s one of the highest-profile unsolved murder cases in Canada.

A beautiful young real estate agent brutally killed in Saanich in February of 2008.

More than 11 years later, Lindsay Buziak’s killer — or killers — are still at large.

“Lindsay’s murder needs to be solved,” says Jeff Buziak, Lindsay’s dad. “It’s very, very disappointing for the community and B.C. as a whole.”

Police believe the 24-year-old was lured to a home in Gordon Head, thinking she was meeting prospective buyers.

Instead, she was stabbed to death.

“The message is you can kill a woman and get away with it,” Buziak says. “That’s the message.”

Frustrated with the Saanich Police Department investigation, Buziak will be on Dr. Phil Friday.

He hopes the exposure will help drum up new leads.

“I want people around the world to scream at Saanich Police,” Buziak says. “I want them to make sure they’re aware they need to step it up.”

Saanich Police wouldn’t do an on-camera interview but they told CHEK News it’s still “an active investigation with dedicated officers holding primary responsibility”.

They’re also once again appealing for anyone who has information to come forward.

The cold case has been featured on Dateline NBC, Crime Watch Daily, and will also be broadcast on Discovery ID next week.

Relentless in his efforts to find his daughter’s killer, Buziak’s been very critical of the Saanich investigation.

But Buziak says Dr. Phil told him he should be nicer to police.

“He said a little bit of honey goes a long way,” Buziak recounts. “And I believe that the honey pot is empty. All that’s left here is an angry bear and an angry public.”
