Belmont Meat Products is issuing a recall of Kirkland Signature brand’s Harvest Burger Veggie Burgers after the discovery of possible pieces of metal in the food item.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says the recall was triggered by a consumer complaint and injuries associated with the consumption of the product have been reported.
They are conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products.
The recall is for products sold in British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec and possibly nationally.
Items with product codes A 1748 B20 BB/MA: 2019 AL 23 112 and UPC code 0 96619 30958 0 should be thrown out or returned to the store where they were purchased.
