A Victoria resident has added a hefty sum to his bank account after winning a BC/49 lotto draw in December.
BCLC says that Roger Dhur of Victoria has won $75,000 after he matched five out of six numbers in the BC/49 draw that took place on December 9, 2020.
The lottery company says that Dhur was “in complete disbelief” after he learned that he had won.
“My first thought was holy smokes,” Dhur recalled.
According to the BCLC, Dhur purchased the winning ticket at the Westshore Town Centre on Jacklin Rd.
He was able to check the results online and verify them at a retailer in order to confirm his winnings.
“Sure enough, it was a $75,000 winner! It feels so good,” he added.
BCLC notes that Dhur hasn’t yet decided exactly what to do with his earnings from the lotto draw, suggesting that he will put his prize into savings while pondering what to do with it.
In the meantime, Dhur notes he is excited to share the news with his family.
