For the second time, there is a confirmed case of COVID-19 at Alberni District Secondary School (ADSS) in Port Alberni.
School District 70 and Island Health notifying parents Tuesday night that a member of the school has tested positive for COVID-19.
The dates of potential exposure are November 12 and 13.
In it’s notification, Island Health says, “contact tracing to identify staff and students that need to self-isolate or self-monitor for symptoms has been completed.”
Officials say receiving the letter “does not mean you have been exposed to COVID-19.”
The exposure is considered low-risk.
ADSS recorded the first COVID-19 school exposure on Vancouver Island, which was reported in early October.
