An Esquimalt liquor store had to patch up their glass storefront Sunday after their building was vandalized early in the morning.

One of the Tudor House Liquor Store’s owners, Marta Dumas, says the incident took place around 1-2 a.m. and when they first found the damage they suspected it may have been structural.

After glass crews arrived they say they discovered evidence of vandalism — possibly from a slingshot.

The incident has been reported to Victoria Police.

The shop is now open, but the company says “it may look a bit different for some months though,”

“We will hopefully find out who did this,” they added.

They are asking anyone with information on who may be responsible to contact Victoria police or Crimestoppers.

The store is on the 500-block of Admirals Road and took the place of the over 100-year-old Tudor House Pub that was lost in 2013 after burning down.
