ICBC has announced that it will be requiring customers to make an appointment before visiting five driver licensing offices, including their Victoria Wharf Street location, starting Nov. 23.

If you want to visit an ICBC driver licensing office without having to book an appointment, you better do it soon.

ICBC has announced that it will be requiring customers to make an appointment before visiting five driver licensing offices, including their Victoria Wharf Street location, starting Nov. 23.

The provincially-owned company says the move is in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and is a pilot project that could be expanded elsewhere or become permanent.

“The pilot will help minimize the number of customers waiting for service in-person, ensuring that the appropriate number of customers are in an office at the same time, while maintaining physical distancing as required by the Provincial Health Officer and WorkSafeBC,” ICBC said in a statement.

However, ICBC says walk-in customers will be accepted during a specific time each day at each of the five locations.

The Victoria Wharf Street location will accept walk-in customers between 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Monday to Friday.

Customers can book an appointment online at www.icbc.com/appointment or by calling 1-800-950-1498.
