Hundreds of Keating Elementary School students adopt and plant trees

WatchDid you know that more than 90 million trees have been planted across this country by the non-profit organization, Tree Canada?  Many of those trees have taken root in schoolyards, including one on the Saanich Peninsula. Veronica Cooper takes us there.

The not-for-profit Tree Canada, the largest tree-planting organization in this country, has planted over 82 million trees across Canada.

Many of these trees have landed amongst 660 different schoolyards.

This fall, Oroweat Organic, a sustainably baked bread made in Langley, partnered with Tree Canada to bring more trees to Keating Elementary School in Saanichton.

Veronica Cooper visited Keating Elementary to learn about the project.
