The Santa Light Parade is back, and this year, there are multiple ways to watch the kick-off to the holiday season.
After taking a year off due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 39th annual Peninsula CO-OP Santa Light Parade will begin Saturday, Nov. 27, at 5:30 p.m.
A parade of 55 spectacular light displays will start at Government and Belleville streets, moving down Government and ending on Pembroke Street.
Come down in person — extra blocks have been added to the route to ensure physical distancing — or tune in on various CHEK platforms to catch the event.
This year, CHEK will once again broadcast coverage of the parade, hosted by Stacy Ross, Ed Bain and Jeff King, live at 5:30 p.m.
While watching, comment on Facebook or tweet us using the hashtag #CHEKSantaParade and your comments could appear on the broadcast!
Drivers note, the following road closures will be in effect before and during the parade:
- Government Street, between Humboldt Street and Superior Street, from around 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Belleville Street, between Douglas Street and Superior Street, from around 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
