Canadian Forces vessel HMCS Nanaimo helped the U.S. Coast Guard with the seizure of approximately 1,511 kilograms of cocaine last week.

The quantity of drugs recovered during the interception November 21 in the Eastern Pacific Ocean has an estimated value of $50 million.

The Nanaimo is currently deployed in Operation CARIBBE where Canada sends ships and aircraft to aid the American-led effort to stop trafficking.
