Although snow has stopped falling, motorists are still dealing with black ice and slippery sections all over the central to the south island.

Drive BC says it is winter driving conditions on the Malahat from Goldstream Provincial Park to the Malahat summit.

The summit saw 31 centimetres of snow Tuesday.

Black ice is reported on Highway 19 from Cook Creek Road north of Parksville to just over 25 kilometres south of Campbell River.

There is black ice on Mount Washington Road to the Highway 19 junction.

Slippery sections are also reported on highways 28, 4 and other sections of Highway 19.

On Head Bay Road, there are slippery sections over a 65 kilometre stretch from Tahsis to Gold River.
