Three vehicles appeared to be involved in the accident, on Highway 18 near Lake Cowichan
A motor vehicle incident has closed off highway 18 near Lake Cowichan for several hours and sent three to hospital Saturday morning.
B.C. Ambulance responded to the crash near Skutz Falls around 10:30 a.m. and took two patients with non-life threatening injuries by ground ambulance and one patient in critical condition by helicopter to hospital.
The incident is now in the hands of the RCMP, who have not been available to comment on the incident.
Drive B.C. reported that the road was closed from around 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.. A detour was available through Skutz falls road and Old Lake Road.
