An Indonesian disaster agency says that an eruption at the Mount Anak Krakatau volcano has triggered a deadly tsunami for some coastal areas.
BNPE suspects an underwater landslide due to the influence of the eruption triggered the wave that has resulted in 20 dead and 165 injured so far.
Images and video from social media show significant damages to some areas. The tsunami impacted the coast around the Sunda Strait.
The tsunami was reported to have occurred at 9:27 p.m. Western Indonesian Time.
