Wet snow across Vancouver Island is forcing the closure of Camosun College as crews work to clear snow from the roads.
Here is the latest on schools and buses across Vancouver Island.
Camosun College
An advisory from Camosun College states the school will close at 1:30 p.m. due to inclement weather. The libraries at both campuses will remain open until 2:30 p.m. All buildings will be locked and secured by 2:30 p.m.
University of Victoria
The university is currently open but the school is reminding students and faculty to use caution during travel to and around campus. Sidewalks and parking lots may be icy. Facilities management staff are clearing snow and ice in order of priority.
Royal Roads University
The campus is open but students and faculty are reminded to use extreme caution when travelling to or from campus. Students can leave needed to get home safe. People are asked to avoid entering or exiting campus through University Drive and Serpentine Road. Please use College Road through Belmont Park.
The recreation centre and library are now closed. The Habitat Café is open until 7 p.m.

Vancouver Island University
Vancouver Island University campuses are open. Students and faculty are reminded to wear appropriate footwear for slippery winter conditions. If someones lives in an area that received more snow, they can decide whether to come in or not. Accommodations will be made.
Greater Victoria School District
All 47 Greater Victoria schools will remain open this afternoon. If road conditions get worse and parents want to pick up their students early, they can. Students will not be marked absent if they have to be excused early.
Third Wave and Garden City buses will run at their scheduled time except for buses at École Victor-Brodeur, which will leave one hour early at 2 p.m. Parents of students picked up by Third Wave buses are encouraged to contact their school.
Sooke School District
All schools will remain open until the end of the day. Parents can pick their children up early if they would like to. Buses will also run per usual.
Nanaimo Ladysmith Public Schools
Schools are open and buses are running.
Cowichan Valley School District
Schools are open and buses are running.
BC Transit
BC Transit is not servicing some areas and are releasing updates on their social media accounts.
