B.C. health officials will be providing a live update on the COVID-19 situation in the province at 3 p.m. on Nov. 30.

Health officials in B.C. are expected to be back at it Monday.

Dr. Bonnie Henry, the provincial health officer, and Adrian Dix, minister of health, will be holding a live COVID-19 update beginning at 3 p.m.

The press conference will be streamed live on both CHEK’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.

Health officials have not provided an update on COVID-19 in B.C. since Friday (Nov. 27), when they announced a single-day record of 911 new cases, including 21 cases in Island Health.

As a result, today’s update will cover three reporting periods, Friday-Saturday, Saturday-Sunday, and Sunday-Monday.

Over the weekend, Island Health declared an outbreak at Veterans Memorial Lodge long-term care home in Saanich after one staff member tested positive for COVID-19.

Island Health has said the infected staff member is now isolating at home and that the outbreak is limited to a single unit within the facility.
