Laketown Shakedown has confirmed its 2024 lineup, with Gwen Stefani, Busta Rhymes and more to perform at the upcoming music festival to envelop a well-known ranch in the Cowichan Valley.
The festival is happening June 28-30, 2024, at Laketown Ranch near Lake Cowichan, where organizers from Wideglide Entertainment say a cross-genre of acts, like bbno$, Grandson and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, will take the same Main Stage as pop singer Stefani and rapper Rhymes.
They’re promising “two nights of world-class talent” over the Canada Day long weekend, adding that Jesse Roper and Jurassic 5’s DJ Nu-Mark will get things started with a special kick-off party at Lakenight Stage on June 28.

It was last August when it was announced that Grammy Award winner Stefani, known for her 2000s pop songs like “Rich Girl,” “Hollaback Girl,” and “The Sweet Escape,” would headline Laketown Shakedown. Rhymes is also popular for his music from that decade, so festivalgoers are in for some nostalgia this year at the 250-acre ranch.
The festival has been operating on Vancouver Island for several years, excluding a two-year hiatus during the COVID-19 pandemic. Last year, for example, acts like Shaggy and Portugal. The Man performed.
For 2024, various ticket packages can be purchased online, including single-day or weekend passes for Hillside, Lawn, or Stage Pit. Lookout Lounge and VIP options are also available, and festival-goers can camp overnight at the ranch as well.
Tickets are on sale now and start at $69 plus fees, and layaway plans apply to all pass types, according to organizers. They’re encouraging people to make their purchase before tier-three pricing kicks in on March 28.
Later this summer, from Aug. 1-4, Wideglide will return to Laketown Ranch to present Sunfest Country Music Festival. They announced this festival’s lineup last November, saying singer Keith Urban was scheduled to perform sometime over the B.C. Day long weekend.
