Grizzlies’ young sniper adjusting to junior hockey spotlight

WATCH: Victoria Grizzlies forward Alex Campbell is still getting used to the spotlight of playing in the BCHL.

    • Campbell, a 17-year-old sniper from Montreal, came to the Grizzlies from prep school out east and made a big impact by scoring a natural hat-trick in his first game with the team. The speedy winger turned some heads in his impressive debut and will look to do the same this weekend at the BCHL Showcase in Chilliwack. Plenty of NCAA & NHL scouts will be in the building to watch Campbell and the Grizzlies perform, with captain Alex Newhook taking part in his second showcase. The event is big for Campbell and Newhook, who are both going into their draft year for the NHL.
