WATCH: Just 49 seconds into the game, Victoria Grizzlies forward Shawn O’Malley sent the Q Centre into pandemonium, as teddies reigned down onto the ice.
The Grizzlies would go on to score 9 goals in the game, defeating the Nanaimo Clippers 9-4 on Saturday night, newly acquired goaltender Kurtis Chapman was spectacular, making a huge save midway through the third. It was a much-needed win for the Grizzlies, who seem to have finally ended their recent drought of success.
