WATCH: The Victoria Grizzlies decimated the visiting Coquitlam Express on Friday night at the Q Centre, pouring in 10 goals on the night to win the game 10-6.
The Grizzlies top line of Alex Newhook, Alex Campbell and Riley Hughes combined for an insane 17 points on the evening, giving Newhook a commanding 9-point lead on the rest of the BCHL in the league scoring race. The ‘Grizz’ also lost a key member up front, as Victoria’s Cam Thompson took a hard hit in the game and suffered a concussion and facial lacerations, the team expects their top-6 forward to miss around a month.
