Grizzlies continue division dominance in win over Clippers

CHEK

WATCH: The Victoria Grizzlies defeated the Nanaimo Clippers 4-2 at the Q Centre on Saturday night.

The Clippers might have been playing from behind before the puck even dropped, as the team bus broke down on the Malahat, giving Nanaimo little to no time before warm-ups to get prepared for the game.

Grizzlies captain Alex Newhook opened the scoring with his 16th goal of the season, giving the Newfoundland product a league-leading 44 points as the season begins to head towards the holiday break.

Grizzlies defenceman Carter Berger recorded two assists in the game and was named the first star.
