As many hockey insiders predicted, the Vancouver Canucks decided to keep their coaching-hire in-house, promoting Travis Green as the organization’s 19th head coach. Green spent the last four seasons coaching the Canucks top farm team, the AHL’s Uitca Comets. The 46-year-old inherits a team that finished 29th out of 30 teams in the 2016-17 NHL Campaign.
