A GoFundMe has been set up to collect donations for the son of a woman killed in a Langford shooting last week.

Angela Dalman, 40, was shot near the 800-block of Arncote Avenue in Langford on March 6 at around 9:30 p.m. She later died from her injuries.

Friends, family and police identified Angela as the shooting victim. Friends said she was a single mother and she left behind a 16-year-old son.

The GoFundMe has surpassed its $5,000 goal. The funds will go toward Angela’s son, specifically his education and life goals, according to organizer Kristy Dalman.

“On March 6th , a horrific incident left a 16 old boy without a mother. We are asking for community support to provide Austin with funds to enable his future education and life goals,” Kristy wrote on the GoFundMe page.

Anthony Singh Dheensaw, 35, is facing a second-degree murder charge in connection with the shooting death of Angela Dalman.

He is also facing another charge of attempted murder of Derrick Oke, 41, with a firearm. Dheensaw remains in custody and is due back in court on March 16.

West Shore RCMP said they believe the shooting was an isolated crime and there is no ongoing risk to the public.

The GoFundMe can be found here.
