Gas was shut down to approximately 50 FortisBC customers due to the gas leak.
The company says it will begin relighting services for the affected customers once the repairs are complete.
“Public and employee safety is the number one priority for FortisBC,” said the company in a statement Thursday afternoon.
“We would like to remind everyone that if you smell rotten eggs or hear the sound of escaping gas, stop what you’re doing, go outside and dial 911 or call FortisBC’s 24-hour emergency line.”
