Iris Gray doesn’t have autism — she is autistic.

In this week’s Inspiring Island Women segment, CHEK News’ Stacy Ross sat down with the 54-year-old who is now a vocal advocate for autistic adults.

Gray, who only discovered she was autistic after being diagnosed as an adult, is passionate about raising awareness and promoting understanding for the neurodivergent community.

Stacy Ross’s weekly series continues to showcase amazing women from Vancouver Island, both past and present. If you know someone who deserves recognition, don’t hesitate to nominate them by emailing [email protected].
