Forecast: Clouds and showers replace the sunshine Friday and into the weekend

WATCH: High pressure that kept us mostly clear today will flatten tonight and allow clouds showers and rain to push in by Friday as a series of lows advance in. Look for increasing clouds tonight with a few showers and a low of 9 C. Friday is a windy wet day with showers for the south Island and steadier rain for the west and east side. Look for highs to top out at 12 C Friday and the wind to pick up from the South East. Saturday is more of the same with showers wind and highs of 10 C.
