Comox Valley RCMP are once again appealing for tips as they continue to investigate the disappearance of Julia Strobach who went missing five years ago.

Strobach, a 27-year-old mother of one, was last seen in the 1000-block of Braidwood Road in Courtenay on Oct. 31, 2013.

She moved to Vancouver Island from Germany in 2009.

“In the last five years, police have interviewed dozens of witnesses and followed up on dozens of tips,” Cpl. Jason Jenkins with the Major Crime Unit of the Comox Valley RCMP said in a statement.

“We will continue moving forward with the investigation until we find out what happened to Julia.”

Strobach is described as Caucasian, 5’9″ (175 cm) tall with green eyes and an average build. She had dyed bright red hair when she disappeared and may have been carrying a backpack.

Anyone with information on Strobach’s disappearance is asked to call Comox Valley RCMP at 250-338-1321 and refer to file 2013-13948.
