The man arrested for an armed robbery incident in Saanich Tuesday will make his first court appearance Friday.
Michael Godolphin, 37, was arrested Thursday afternoon just after 2:30 pm in Courtenay and faces multiple criminal code offences.

Saanich police say the charges stem from armed robberies in Saanich and other offences that happened in Courtenay Thursday.
Police began looking for Godolphin after he allegedly pulled a black handgun on a London Drugs’ Loss Prevention Officer who had stopped him after a shoplifting incident at Saanich Centre mall.

Godolphin allegedly fled to the Lochside Regional Trail where Saanich Police say he allegedly robbed a cyclist of a black electric bike.
Authorities considered Godolphin armed and dangerous.
