A woman has been charged with two counts of robbery, while a third case is under investigation in Campbell River.

RCMP say they are looking into three robberies that happened between Sunday and Monday and the suspect in each cased was described as female.

The first incident happened at the Chevron gas station at 971 Island Highway Sunday, which was held up by a masked female brandishing a firearm.

On Monday, Campbell River RCMP says a masked female brandished a firearm at the One Stop Corner Store on Croatian Road and stole items and fled the scene in a vehicle.

About an hour later, a suspect matching the same description reportedly pushed down an elderly woman at the TD Canada bank at Tyee Plaza and stole her wallet.

RCMP says the victim sustained serious injuries during the robbery and the suspect was located by police in Canadian Tire.

Police have identified her as Brittani Hunter, who appeared in court Tuesday and has been charged with two counts of robbery and the use of an imitation firearm while committing an offence.

Police say the robbery at the Chevron Sunday is still under investigation and are asking anyone who may have seen something suspicious in that area between 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to call 250-286-6221.
