
An earthquake near Ucluelet was felt across the mid-Island Tuesday morning just after 9 a.m.
Earthquakes Canada put the magnitude at 3.5 with a depth of 37 kilometres. Initial estimates from the United States Geological Survey, the quake had a magnitude of 3.8 and an epicentre 14km north of Ucluelet, under Kennedy Lake, approximately 4.9km deep.

There were no reports of damage, but people on social media reported feeling the quake on the west coast, in Port Alberni, Courtenay, Nanaimo and Sooke.
