Jesse Bennett, who was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant in connection with the abduction of his seven-year-old daughter, has been arrested in Shawnigan Lake.
RCMP issued a release saying he was arrested on May 24 during a routine traffic stop around 8 p.m.
Bennett was the subject of an arrest warrant for abduction in contravention of a custody order after failing to return his daughter to her mother after being ordered by a court.
His daughter was found safe on April 21 after initially being reported missing on Jan. 23.
