Two men face drug-related charges after being arrested by North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP on Thursday.

The police say the men were caught red-handed during an alleged drug deal.

An in depth investigation by the local street crime unit allowed for a search warrant to be issued on the home of Anthony Stuart Pitts.

The 52-year old was subsequently charged with trafficking in a controlled substance.

“There was an investigation targeting a suspected “dial-a-dope” drug dealer operating through the Municipality of North Cowichan and the City of Duncan,” said Staff Sergeant Kurt Bosnell.

“Our investigation led us to a residence where we sought a search warrant and seized drugs we believe were intended for sale.”

A 39-year old man also from Duncan was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and charges are pending.
